You
will need good credit with a 640 score or
above and an unsecured credit history for at
least 2 years...no recent bankruptcy's, past
due bills, collections, repossessions,
charge-offs, late pays over 30 days or more on
debts.
An "unsecured" loan history could be
any personal/signature loan, which means a
loan that has no collateral backing it.
Unacceptable are house, car, and furniture
type loans as they are secured. (point is that
what you are having done can not be
repossessed).
Also
acceptable as an unsecured type loan could be
any 1 active credit card at least 2 years
old and has a credit limit somewhere around
the amount or more that you are asking for and
that is being paid back in a timely manner.
(The lenders are not looking at how much is owed on
the card. They are looking at the pay back
history before they will consider giving an
unsecured loan as they are considered
high-risk loans.
If
you do not have these qualifications then you
will need a co-applicant that does have.
